- Appuru is a slender girl with pale white skin. Her auburn hair is cut into a nape-length bob and her droopy eyes are a warm shade of brown. She is rarely seen without her favorite red ribbon headband.

- As Mew Apple her hair turns dark red while her eyes turn a more vibrant shade, she also gains a pair of brown bird wings. Her outfit is a red bodice with four knee-length coattails over a frilly white skirt. Her shin-high boots are red and simplistic.
- She also has red garters on both arms, her right thigh, and a choker around her neck. The tops and bottoms of her garters and choker are lined with white lace. A gold pendant hangs off her choker and her Mew Mark, a red winged apple, in on her chest.

- Appuru is a soft-spoken and sensitive girl, one who's desperate to be seen as the mature young lady that she believes herself to be. She's always jumping in to help anyone and everyone, often leading to people sticking her with their responsibilities as they know Appuru won't have the heart to turn them down.
- Though usually passive, Appuru isn't afraid to tell people off for creating messes or being needlessly cruel to others. She also takes great pride in being a hard worker.

- Due to her infusion, Appuru's body and physical capabilities have been affected; some of these abilities are only available in Mew form, while others can be used at any time. Like the other Mews, she can withstand injuries much better than a regular person, this is most noticeable as Mew Apple, but even outside of Mew form she's still notably resilient.
- Appuru has amazing eyesight, making her capable of UV vision. Her infusion has also granted her amazing balance. When transformed, she is capable of flying and gliding.

- Appuru has an overreliance on her magic. She's not athletic enough or strong enough to hold her own in close combat, so she instead focuses on spamming her attack at Chimeras.
- She fights with a microphone wand called the Apple Wand, and her attack is called Ribbon Apple Song.

- Despite Mikoto having been her step-mother for roughly a decade, she and Appuru have never gotten along, something that greatly upsets Kimihiko. Appuru does love her father and tries to get along with her step-mother, but Mikoto continually rebuffs her efforts.
